These video clips were taken by a member of the Sacramento Archery Club. The first one shows close-ups of how the back of my hand touches the sight lightly to aim. It also shows how I use the footmarker to position myself on the shooting line. The second one shows me shooting and retrieving my arrows. My husband is shooting behind me. During practice, in order to retrieve my own arrows and return to the line independently, we connect one end of a rope to my tripod and the other end to the target. At a tournament, a spotter assists me. As you will see, an archer who is visually impaired can participate in his/her local club and be relatively independent. |
