This
season, the Sacramento Archery Club is trying something new for our indoor
club shoots. Just for fun, we are
shooting two 450 rounds, handicapping the participants, and then using an
average of each archer’s handicapped score to compete for places. This is just for fun, a way to enjoy the
feeling of competition, regardless of the style of bow you shoot or your
level of experience. Because
we are calculating the average of your handicapped score, you don’t have to
be present at every club shoot. The more
often you can come, the more you can work on your average. For
those club shoots that fall on the weekend before an official competition,
such as the State Indoor in Tulare or the World Archery Festival in Las
Vegas, we will not do the 450 rounds, but will shoot a full FITA (4 rounds,
30 arrows per round) to prepare for the tournaments. |
